Considering Parenting?
When you see that positive result on a pregnancy test, you might think, “There’s no way I could be a parent!” But we’re here to tell you successful parenting is possible.
Often, fear keeps us from exploring our options. Maybe you’re afraid of what your parents or friends will think, or maybe your fear is not knowing how to parent. We can help you.
Do I Have What It Takes To Parent?
When you think about parenting, you probably have more questions than answers. Before choosing to parent, ask yourself a few critical questions like these:
- How will I tell my family?
- Where will I live?
- Can I afford a child?
- How will I finish school?
- What do I do if my husband or boyfriend doesn’t want the baby, but I do?
These are important questions.
If the thought of parenting seems impossible, we promise you we’ve helped hundreds of clients who were right where you are become successful parents. And we can help you too.
Resources For Parenting
Carolina Pregnancy Center partners with many outside community organizations to provide a wide range of services and resources for women experiencing unplanned pregnancies.
We can also recommend and refer you to additional organizations for further assistance.
Plus, we offer our own resources.
Parenting Classes
Daytime parenting classes are offered in the Center or by phone. A client attends 8 classes that include viewing educational videos and talking with one of our client advocates.
Clients earn vouchers throughout the program to turn in for material items for their children.
Our Baby Boutique
For those participating in our parenting classes, you receive baby clothes and supplies or maternity clothes after watching an educational video and talking with a client advocate.
