The Morning After Pill (also known as Plan B, Plan B One Step, or Ella) is not the same as RU486. The Morning After Pill is emergency contraception that is taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. It works by delaying ovulation, interfering with fertilization and/or preventing implantation. If you have any questions about the Morning After Pill, contact Carolina Pregnancy Center.
Before taking the Morning After Pill, be sure to understand what it is, how it could affect your health and how it works. There are many factors to consider.
- How effective is the Morning After Pill?
